SuperBritt Scholarship Fund
The Legacy Children’s Foundation launched the SuperBritt Scholarship Fund on February 1, 2011 as a legacy for Brittany McInnes who was murdered by her stepfather in January 2010. This tragedy has devastated the family as well as having had a profound impact on people from the Calgary community and from concerned citizens across the country.
Brittney’s family has somehow found the strength, thanks to friends and supporters, to move forward - and they have taken it upon themselves, with the assistance of Legacy, to create a Scholarship Fund that will provide financial support to needy youth, allowing them to pursue their educational dreams related to music and the arts.
The intent of the SuperBritt Scholarship Fund will be to provide financial support for qualifying youth from across the Province of Alberta for things like living expenses, tuition and books.
